Thank you for your support. Here are some good news and updates that we want to share with you.
DESIGN
One of the most important decisions we made after the campaign ended was a design change.
We sent out a survey and over SIX THOUSAND of you responded! We got some great suggestions, including final color options and replaceable battery options through your answers.
Replaceable battery
The original design had a non-replaceable battery in the CleanseBot. After 90% of the backer's responses said they wanted a replaceable one, we consulted with our hardware engineers and are rebuilding PCB and changing the battery part design so that it is now replaceable! We have successfully made it happen!
We have sent out the request for the resized the battery to the battery factory. The process will start 1st Feb it should be finished around the middle - end of the February.

PRODUCTION
Before we start the tooling and production, we will need to start a Process Capability Analysis, since we are facing more than 15,000 pieces of each robot. We will need to keep our production smooth and without any unforeseen issues, so we decided to send the whole product design to a third party to process a PCA. We know this is a great investment to keep the quality high for all of our backers. It is quite important for us to keep our brand sustainable. This process will be finished by the beginning of March. Tooling will take 35 days to finish and test. You should expect the tooling to be finished by the end of March. According to the factory we work with, it will take 20 days for the assembly and packaging.
We expect the shipments to start around April 20-25th, and we will have a firm date to give you by the end of March.
SURVEY
Many backers have contacted us for the details of the next survey.
We will need to send out the survey after February 20th, which will be after we confirm all the processes and the new design prototype has come back to our office. We will keep you updated!
LIFE UPDATE
To get personal for a moment, I need to share something with you.
I had major and painful surgery at the last month 27th and sorry that I have not posted it here. I was completely offline having surgery and recovering from January 27th to February 12th. During that time, I was not able to respond to messages or emails. I just got back home and I will start working this week Friday. Everything will be normal again.
Since I am the only real customer service or marketing person, as well as the CEO and co-founder, you may not get any response during those dates. Please bear with me.
The work and company and CleanseBot were NOT stopping and will continue moving forward during that time, but calls and messages were not be getting a rapid response. Thank you for your compassion and understanding.

Thank you (all 10474 of you!) for helping us to raise over $1.18 million and making Cleansebot the most Kickstarter-funded travel robot EVER!. We couldn't have done it without the support of all of you and we are immensely grateful to each and every one of you.!!!!!!!!!
I'm sure many of you have questions about the upcoming survey (to confirm color choices and shipping addresses), production, shipping, and fulfillment, which we will answer below.
Color
Due to backer comments, we have just gotten the BLACK color sample (see it HERE). The black looks great and we all love it, but there are certain issues that we have to figure out before we can let backers choose a black CleanseBot.
Here is why: Our sensors are quite sensitive and the reflection from the surface material and color throughout the robot effects them. We have to test out if the reflection of the robot is nice and smooth. It will take us a few days for the sensor testing to find the best sensitive rate for the bed. We will let you know the results in the coming week.
This testing process won't stop our production line and shipping time, however we will need to confirm before we send out the survey for further information.
Errored and Dropped pledges
According to what Kickstarter told us about the Errored and Dropped pledges, it is common for some pledges to fail to collect at the project's deadline. It can be many different reasons, including incorrect credit card numbers, expired cards, or errors in shipping addresses.
If your pledge failed:
1, If you received an email from Kickstarter about errored pledges, you can click the link Kickstarter provided you to fix the payment.
2, You can contact your credit card company to approve the payment because sometimes it will be blocked by the bank. Simply approve the purchase and update the credit card information in your Kickstarter account then it should be fine.
3, You may also log in to the Kickstarter account from which you pledged and follow the 'Fix Payment' link.
Backers have just 7 DAYS after the campaign ends to fix their pledges by updating their credit card information.
Declined pledges will show up as "errored" and any pledge which doesn’t get fixed within 7 days will become "dropped." Then it will count as a failed order and you will NOT get charged or receive a CleanseBot.
Survey
We will send out a survey to all backers once the errored and dropped pledges and color testing has completed. This should take no more than about 2 WEEKS.
Those two weeks will NOT stop the production and shipping timelines.
After we confirm all payments, we will send out a survey to collect all of your addresses and your color choice. Feel free to ask us anything!
Production
We have completed the handle tooling and right now we are moving into the whole body injection tooling for our final production. We expect to be finished with this by the end of the month if everything goes smoothly!
Then we will start the pilot run in the third and fourth week of February.
You should expect our production line will start in March and finish in April, and then the shipping will begin in April to YOU, our backers! We can not sure yet what exact date in April, but we will keep you updated.
