Hi Cleansebot Backers,  

We are finally here!!!  We have just sent out the first 5000 units of Cleansebot out!!

As the Cleansebot contains a battery, we are not allowed to use any international air delivery service, so we have to use Container to ship it to a local warehouse, which then sends the package to you through local express shipping. This will take a bit of time for the shipping, but you should expect to receive your Cleansebot by the end of February!  

When will we finish the rest of the Cleansebot units? 

We have the rest scheduled with the factory to finish the entire run of production. We will finish the rest of the Cleansebot units on or by February 25th. Now that the Chinese New Year is here, half of China is shut down, but the business will resume as normal soon. We will keep everyone in the loop for the coming production and shipment.  

Here are pictures of what we have sent out.   

The picture you see was 4300 units because there are another 700 units to another destination. 

Survey

For those who still have not filled in the survey, please hurry up, as shipping is happening NOW. If you don't fill out the survey, you cannot receive your product.

If you need to adjust your address, do it by February 10th. For Kickstarter and Indiegogo backers, adjust your address through Backerkit.

Hello, Backers!  
Merry belated Christmas and Happy New Year!
We are back with another update. I am sorry for the delay in shipping this year, but we are now bringing you good news!  Here are a few short updates, information, and production pictures for you all.  
Production
We started the production on 20th Dec, it was the smaller trial production run of 2000 units. Here is a picture of it. This is one of the factories that helped the XIAOMI brand to assemble and STM.

By doing the production run, we were able to find out that the PCB assembly has a problem with the sensor angle. So we stopped and redesigned the tool for the assembly for the sensor and now it has the correct angle.  The plastic case and battery are all ready to go!  We will be reassembling this week, on Friday. So we should be finished the production by 20th Jan.
Then we will start the shipping. We will have another run of 3000 units assembled, packed, and ready to ship by the 20th of January to catch the last train of the Chinese new year.  So, there will be 5000 units of the CleanseBot ready to send out before February, and then the rest of the orders will be produced in February.  For those who have still not completed the survey, please fill in it ASAP. There are still about 1000 backers who still need to fill it in and confirm the delivery address.  Thanks! We will update 22th January when the production and shipping are finished for the first runs.

Hey Everyone!

This is going to be a direct, factual update.

We know some of you are frustrated. We initially said October for some, then it kept getting pushed back. We understand how that comes across. But we guarantee that we are doing all of this to get you the best possible product.

In the last update., we said the design was ready but there was still much to do to produce the actual product, and that is why we needed you. You guys are the backbone of the success of this initial launch. So, let me start by saying that we appreciate you and we don’t take you for granted, and it's looking very good to get the product to you in the Christmas/new year period.

I have good news! Members of the design team were in the factory this week to oversee production - which is currently underway, and humming along quite nicely. We spoke with the factory about a better production process for the assembly, so it would be finished faster.

As of today, we have over 50 units built and packaged, with another 50 production units being completed. Here are photos of the finished products:

So, with that said, here is how the next 2-3 weeks are going to go: 1 - This coming week, the week of 11/29, will be all about finishing up the trial production of the next 50 unites and starting to get ready for the 2000-unit production run. It should be ready on Dec 10th.  2 - The first US-bound shipment will go out on Dec 16th and land at our US fulfillment center later that week, where we will begin US shipments to backers immediately. 3 - While those first 2000 units are shipping out, the remaining 15000 units will be in production and finish assembly around Christmas. The week of January 5th, the rest of the units will be sent to US and International fulfillment centers.

You will be finally getting your Cleansebot soon! Be on the lookout in January for your Cleansebot.  We will close the survey around Dec 10th. If you have not filled in your survey, please make sure you do it before Dec 10th.   As always, if you have any issues with this, PLEASE reach out to us directly and we will take care of you. We are sorry that our customer service has been delayed and we are hiring more team members to take care of the customer service.

Hello, Cleansebot community!
 
Thank you for all your patience. We are here to update with good news!
 
The T1 Test is completed for the CleanseBot.
 
Overall, the whole structure and assembling are going really well.
 
The molding inside has not been polished yet (because it requires T2 testing and the final confirmation for polishing the mold) so you can see the robot is not polished well, but the condition is great.
 
We are starting to do the drop test for the production-grade robot and we are also running a life test for durability and use.

You can clearly see the updated design with the cover for the sensor and the battery cover for a longer life.
 
The schedule is still the same. We will start the first trial small production run of 60 units. We will post another update in the coming week to show you the details of that first production run.
 
 
The timeline of the shipping is confirmed. We will be doing the first larger production run of 2000 units on October 28th to start shipping to YOU, our backers. The rest of the production for backers will be done and shipped out by November 20th.

Dear  Cleansebot backers,

Thank you for all of your patience, we appreciate you letting us make the changes we needed to make to get this little Cleansebot to be the best possible product for you.

We have some good news!

Factory

After we finished everything, including improving the design and testing, we are finally in the final production molding stage! We are now waiting for the T1 section to start in the coming week. We believe that next week we will finish the T1 and adjustments to the molding, and then we will start T2.

Our first small trial production run of around 60 units of Cleansebot will be finished around October 20th, and then we will double-check everything and prepare for the first bigger production run of 2000 units starting November 1. The rest of the 18000 units should all be produced and complete before November 15th! They will ship out ASAP after they are finished.

We  are taking this process very seriously and we know this has taken much longer than we originally planned, but we do not want to make a toy or a crappy product for our backers, so we had no choice but to retool and do some redesigns, not only to make it last  longer but also to make it have a replaceable battery and other components you needed.

We know that there are many of you who are frustrated about the delay, and we’re very sorry, but it was very, very important to use to be able to give you better quality and more reliable product.

Copycat  Products

We are aware that there have been copycat products made, which always happens after a new innovative product is invented and introduced to the world. We appreciate that you guys have let us know about these and we are currently in litigation with some of those sellers for patent infringement and other things. Some of them even used OUR name and photos to advertise their rip off products!

Just be aware that all communication from us will come through here and that the fake products are not going to have our quality, technology, and testing behind it. We spent an entire year before launching on the sensor and mapping tests! Much of the Cleansebot is patented, so they will not be the same. The Cleansebot is so much more than just tossing a wheel on a robot.

We fully understand the delays are frustrating, but we urge you to wait just a tiny bit longer to get the real thing. We chose to delay the shipping of the product until it was RIGHT instead of rushing and risking sending out a low-quality product.

For those who are saying the survey is not working: We are sending out the survey again today. Please let us know if you still can not log in or adjust your shipping address.
