Dear Cleansebot Community,

As always, thank you for your patience and support! Sorry for the late update, we have been extremely busy here. It took us around 1 and a half months to confirm everything with the factory and shipping company. This update will give the whole process and timing for shipping.

Rewards & Surveys

Some of you may have received a survey through Indiegogo update. Those surveys will help us to collect your shipping info as well as the details of your orders, such as color, finishing, and accessories. So far, we've sent out 3 surveys; We expect to collect all the information by the end of June. If you have not filled in your survey, please do so before June because we will need to confirm all the colors before June. Production

In the last update, we mentioned about do molding and product testing. With the results from the factory and the product test company, we now need to adjust some of the parts in the robot and specific components, so that we reduce the defective rate for the manufacturer and raise the life of the robot for the user. Right now, the battery part (the open clip) did not pass the long life test and we have redesigned it, and one of the sensors needed to have the angle adjusted for better detection. This rebuild will make it easier to assemble the sensors and also make them stronger. CleanseBot is small, so we need the sensors to be as strong as possible.

All of this work and testing has lead to us to around 2-3 months shipping delay because the redesign requires a second product test and molding test.

We apologize again for the delay.

There was the possibility of meeting the June shipping date, but we think the best way to go is to make a high-quality product to ship to our supporters, not just one that gets there on time but is not reliable or has a long life.

Battery

We have contacted the battery vendor for the order, it will take 2.5 months for the order to be made and sent to us.

Shipping

All of this combined means that the shipping time will delay to Aug-Sep 2019.

In the next month or so we should have confirmed dates from the factory and the testing companies, and then our estimated shipping time will be final. As soon as anything is confirmed, we will let you know immediately.

We know you guys are excited and hurry about the CleanseBot, which is a big encouragement to us! We will continue to try to finish this as soon as possible, but at the same time, we have been backers of new and exciting products before, and we don't want you to receive an unreliable product. We know how important it is - to YOU and to US - that what you receive is a great robot, it does what we say it will, and you have a fully operable and fantastic product for years to come.

Again, we are so sorry for the continued delays. As this is our first product, much of this is a learning experience and only allows us to grow and learn and do better. We very much appreciate your patience and excitement for our CleanseBot!

 Hello, Backers!

As always, thank you for your patience and support!

Here are some things in the process this month, and we are working very hard to make the CleaseBot work even better.

Motor

This month we have made some modifications on detailed parts. We went to Johnson Electric and verified the branded motor from them. Johnson Electric is the company who helped Dyson manufacture the motors used in their vacuums! We are working on having a better motor.

Production

Some of our backers have left comments in Indiegogo and on our Facebook page, and you all seem very professional in the process of hardware! So, you might have known that from idea to mature product, we needed to modify the molds at least 3 times，T0，T1，T2，T3，which took us about a month. 

To make sure the final products are of great quality, we definitely don’t allow any missteps or mistakes in this process. Therefore, speeding up or jumping the process is irresponsible to you,  our backers.

Next week we will receive the newest version of mold, then we will decide to either finalize it or make any additional revisions or modifications as needed. We will keep you in the loop.

Battery

This is the newest rechargeable exchangeable battery prototype, it is about 3400 mAh battery. We are going to use the Panasonic battery. This is great news. It will mean your CleanseBot battery is replaceable, rechargeable, and will last longer than the battery we were originally using. 

Survey

Soon you will receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. 

It’s important to respond to the survey as quickly as possible, as we need this information to fulfill your rewards.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you want. 

The survey will be coming to your email soon!

Even after you respond to your survey, you can still go back and make changes before the deadline, where we close the survey and get our final results.

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://cleansebot.backerkit.com.

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Indiegogo account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at https://cleansebot.backerkit.com/faq.

We know you guys are excited about the CleanseBot, which is a big encouragement to us! 

We are on schedule so far, and if everything goes well, we will be delivering them in late April and of course, we will make every effort to deliver even sooner if at all possible!

Hello again, Backers! 

Thank you for all your patience with us here at CleanseBot! 

Here is a quick update about the shipping survey which is coming VERY SOON. 

Shipping Survey

We are partnering with BackerKit for our survey, so it will come from them. Keep an eye out! 

The survey is ready on our end and we are just waiting on final approval through BackerKit to send it out. We think it will be ready to go out this coming Wednesday , March 6th.

Robot Adjustment

We sent out the CleanseBot with its new replaceable battery to a third party testing facility and they determined a side clip battery would reduce the lifetime of the CleanseBot's overall battery life. We are now waiting on a sample with the suggested bottom-mounted push in battery with a spring, which is used by most major camera brands and will last longer.

Hello, Backers!  

Thank you for all of your patience and support over this entire process, but especially over the last 3 weeks. I’m so glad that I am back - and with good news for all of you!  

I’m feeling a lot better now. I spent the past 3 weeks in the hospital and now I'm home and recovered and ready to take on the challenge of 2019 and grow with our backer community.  

Thank you guys for all your support - without it, we could not have gotten to this point!  

Here are some updates!  

REPLACEABLE BATTERY 

The battery factory we are working with has not yet sent us the final battery, as it was Chinese New Year and that caused a bit of a delay. However, we expect to have it next week, and after we receive the prototype of the new highly-requested replaceable battery, we'll send you a picture!  

RESIZE PCBA 

Since we are changing the CleanseBot's design to fit the new replaceable battery, we must redesign the PCBA to a different size as well, and we have already made the final one last week. CHeck it out!  

COLORS 

After many backer suggestions, we have talked to the factory. We can now confirm that we ARE able to offer the CleanseBot in BLACK! You will need to fill in your chosen color option in the coming weeks' survey for us to make sure we order the right amount of black and white models from the manufacturer.  

SURVEY 

The survey will be sent out in the next week, and we will use Backerkit as our survey system. There will be some add-ons if you want to purchase an additional CleanseBot or add the battery, and it will come with a discount.   

I’m sorry that for losing contact for the past 3 weeks, and very much appreciate your patience and kind words I have received. As I mentioned in the last update, I had to have surgery, then there were complications which kept me out of work an extra week.

But I am back and ready to keep our promise for production and fulfillment.   

Last but not least, we are going to try to keep our workflow fast, but will ALWAYS maintain quality as our first and top priority. You will hear from me every week here on out, and I am so excited we get to share this journey with you!
